Ushers

The Ministry of Usher is the oldest lay ministry in the Catholic Church. Today's ushers descend from a long line of people of God who have gone before them. During Christ's time, the temple doorkeepers numbered in the hundreds and were the forerunners of today's ushers.

Ushers play a pivotal role in our parish, not only aiding others but also serving as the welcoming face to newcomers. For our regular parishioners, they provide a sense of familiarity and continuity across all Masses.

As an usher, you will be at the forefront of assisting newcomers and visitors to our parish. This includes providing information, guiding them to their seats, and offering assistance to the elderly. You may also inquire if they would like the Eucharistic Minister to come to them, ensuring their comfort and ease during the Mass.

Ushers are the face of the parish. They offer a welcoming presence and a smile to newcomers. For regular parishioners, they are a welcoming face and provide continuity for each of the Masses.

If you are interested in learning more about the role of Usher or would like to be part of this important ministry, please provide your contact information using our Usher Sign-up form. The head of the Usher Ministry team will then contact you.
