Pre-K & Kindergarten

Welcome Parents!

Kindergarten is an exciting time in a child's life, but with the excitement can come challenges. Five-year-olds become more independent, wanting to do things themselves rather than having adults help them. However, as fine motor skills are still under development, adults are still a necessary part of life. The optional activities in the curriculum allow your students to practice fine and large motor skills while visually or physically experiencing the faith.

Our program provides a nurturing environment that encourages kindergarten students to explore the world around them fearlessly. We believe in the power of a respectful, quiet, and reflective classroom space where students can feel God speaking to them in their hearts. Rest assured; we are here to guide your children on their spiritual journey.

The Word of Life Series makes learning the faith effective, engaging, and fun with Bible stories, contemporary children's stories, the lives of the saints, and activities for various learning styles. The text consists of core lessons as well as four liturgical season lessons. Images used in each chapter range from photographs depicting a real-life situation to contemporary art depicting a Bible narrative and sacred art depicting an event in salvation history or drawing students into Christ's mysteries, leading them to fully understand doctrinal elements of the faith.

The Word of Life curriculum salvation history approach provides various narratives from Scripture for students to hear and retell. The Small Wonders stories are designed for students to listen to, enjoy, and retell to their families using the image in the Student Text. Students are encouraged to imagine themselves in these stories as they encounter God's love and mercy.

Student and Parent Portal

Our Student and Parent Portal is a gateway to a wealth of digital activities and videos that your children can engage with at home. These resources are designed to supplement the lessons and bring the liturgical year to life, empowering you to be an active participant in your child's education.

The Word of Life parent portal provides faith formation that supports your essential role as your children's primary catechist. Word of Life engages and enriches parents at varying interest levels, knowledge, and formation using print and electronic media resources. The portal gives access to your student videos, ideas for celebrating the liturgical calendar at home, explanations of the sacred art found in the Student Text, and links to other important Catholic resources.
