Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is typically a two consecutive year process beginning in the 1st grade.
We understand that sometimes circumstances dictate that a child is older when the family is able to focus on these important and beautiful sacraments; we have alternative tracks for these children.
Generally speaking, a 2nd grader will be in a combination class for two years (first year includes 1st and 2nd graders, second year is 2nd and 3rd graders). Older Elementary students take their first year of classes with their age group, and their second year in a class specifically designed for students making their sacraments at a later age.
Middle school students are placed in a one year intensive class.
Older teens are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Every situation has its own specific circumstances; please call Geraldine Durman at (520)762-9688 so that we may place your child in the program best suited to their individual needs.
