Classes meet on Monday evenings 6:30 - 8:00, Parent or Sponsor must attend.

Confirmation Requirements

Confirmation is for high school students only. 

Parent and/or Sponsor must attend all sessions. 

Candidates Requirements:

• A baptism certificate issued within the last six months reflecting when you received the first holy communion.
• The family shall be registered at St. Rita in the Desert.
• Candidates shall have one year of faith formation before registering for Confirmation. 
• Candidates shall attend youth formation in addition to the confirmation class.
• Attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days and participate in the parish's worship, service, and social events.
• Attend and participate in the Confirmation retreat.

Sponsor Requirements

• A sponsor shall be a mature person of faith and a confirmed Catholic in good standing. 
• A letter of good standing from their parish will be required if not registered at St. Rita's.
• A baptismal certificate issued within the last six months reflecting when they have received First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and marriage (if applicable).

All paperwork is due by November 01, 2024

Failure to meet these requirements could delay the candidate's receipt of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
